Kelly Green Cabled Hobo Bag.....By Patty

Today I completed my Kelly Green Cabled Hobo Bag. I found the pattern on Delicious Stitches Blog last month and decided that I would complete it using Vanna's Choice Worsted Yarn in Kelly Green for two reasons: 1.) I had a few balls of it on hand and 2.) I love GREEN!! as you probably already knew. If you would like to create this bag, you can find the pattern here:http://deliciousstitches.blogspot.com/2006/07/cabled-hobo-bag-pattern.html

This morning I worked to complete the strap which was the last step of the bag. I finished the bag itself on Thursday and I glued a forest green liner with a leaf pattern into it. I also made a cell phone pocket and glued it to the liner. Once the glue dried (I used Aleen's Quick Dry Tacky Glue), I was ready to sew the strap onto the bag. As you can see, it turned out to be very cute!!

I will definitely use this bag for everyday use and I am considering making one in several different colors. We'll see. For now, I am casting on a Lillian Tank Top which I also coincidentally found on Delicious Stitches. If you are interested, the pattern for this gorgeous top can be found here: http://deliciousstitches.blogspot.com/2007/05/lillian-tank-top.html
I hope you like this bag as much as I do!

  1. I love it Patty. And I hope u have fun knitting the lillian tank and just so you know alot of people think the gauge is off and that it will be too small but trust me when you use a worsted cotton it really grows.

  2. Thanks Amanda!! I'm really enjoying knitting the Lillian Tank and I am using the TLC Cotton Plus so I'm not worried about the gauge. I'll post a blog entry when I finish it and I will definitely share it with you!! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful patterns!
